Dog & Cat Behavior

This lesson addresses some of the common questions asked by students and staff about dog and cat behavior. Using a podcast as the medium, facilitators of the program can research and answer questions providing guidance to address undesirable behaviors in their pet cat(s) and dog(s).

Lesson Objectives

Upon competition of this lesson, the learner will be able to:

• Access the Responsible Pet Owner podcast

• Identify ways to train a cat to come when called

• Name at least two bad behaviors in cats

• Describe a way to curtail a given bad behavior in a cat

• Explain one way to prevent a dog from chasing a cat

• List at least two ways to help a dog overcome storm anxiety
