Dog & Cat Communication

This lesson reviews the different ways in which dogs and cats communicate with people and other animals. The first half of the lesson explains how dogs and cats communicate, the similarities and differences, and how people can learn to read body language in order to understand what their pets are communicating.

Lesson Objectives

Upon competition of this lesson, the learner will be able to:

  • List the different body parts dog and cats use to communicate

  • Identify at least two differences between dog and cat communication

  • Name the sounds dogs and cats make when communicating

  • Given a picture, identify what the dog or cat is communicating  â€‹
