Wild Cat Crossword Puzzle
Thursday, September 13, 2018
As Carolina Tiger Rescue focuses more on education, they are creating a website for kids and wanted some interactive games. Having created games in the past for school assignments, they asked if I could create an interactive crossword puzzle that will be housed on the new kids site. I was happy to do so. This was created using Storyline 360.

Much like the famous game BINGO, SAFETYO is a game component of the Kids 4 Critters program. Kids in the program learn about pet safety and what the different images represent. Then given clues they must find the image that depicts the clue and mark it with a chip. The first to get four in a row, wins SAFETYO.

Jigsaw Puzzle
Friday, November 10, 2017
Following the instructions from Dr. Ken Luterbach at East Carolina University for EDTC6075 Instructional Simulations and Games, I created this game using Unity. I first had to use Gimp to break a picture down into puzzle pieces. Then using the code examples, I was able to implement game mechanics to create this puzzle game. I have trouble with Unity publishing the game, but this version seems to work the best. Some of the sounds don't play, like when you win. This game also needs instructions to be more useful.
Catch
Friday, September 01, 2017
In exploring different game development tools, a fellow student and teacher recommended I try Scratch. I created a game that simulates playing catch with a dog. The tool was easy to use and allows the creation of some engaging components that can be used to make learning fun.
